I'm Back!!! Part 2
Continued from the previous post...

So I love my job here at Apologia. I couldn't ask for a better job and this is exactly what I want to do right now. Although, being tech support does test my patience with people. I guess that's a good thing. It should help prepare me for kids, right? LOL (not anytime in the future)

So after I got my job, nothing much really happened. Just the same routine everyday. Get up, go to work, come home, sleep...blah blah blah wash, rinse, repeat...throughout this whole time Mike was still looking for a job in Anderson or in Indy to try and move up here!

In October, he applied for job in Munice at the Youth Opportunity Center (YOC). He ended up getting the job and moved up here and started working ASAP. We moved in together in a lovely little apartment at Giant Oaks. I love the apartment. It is much bigger then the apartment that we had a Cherryleaf. It is a gated complex so that makes me feel very safe. Just two weeks ago, Mike got promoted to full time. This means he will now have benefits, a little raise, and able to earn PTO.

So as of right now, things are going great! I am happy with life. I am happy with my relationship. I am happy with my friendships (although i do miss a lot people). I happy with my job. The only thing I am unhappy with is my weight. I don't understand how there are things in life I can be so motivated about but this one that just isn't clicking in my brain. I mean I have a fatty liver and have stopped drinking because of that and it wasn't that big of deal and I was able to do it with no problem. But the other thing I have to do for my liver is lose weight and I just can't grasp the concept. I really need to go back to my liver doctor but I am just so embarrassed because I haven't lost the weight needed to go back. I am scared to hear what he will tell me. I always feel like doctors are yelling at you in their doctorly way without being super harsh. I just hate to let them down. I have joined weight watchers again (for like the 4th time). I feel more confident this time but I just want instant results and I know that can't happen and that's why I get so discouraged. I have been cooking for Mike and I a lot more and not eating out for lunch at all. So I hoping that shows results as well. We will see tonight!

I think that is all I have really have update about right now.

Tah tah for now!

ps. if you haven't seen Book of Eli go see before someone tells you the ending. It is a very inspiring and truly remarkable movie! I loved it!

I'm Back!!!
Wow..it has been a while since I have done this...It has been since June 2008 when the Franklin Flood happened. There are have been a lot of things that have changed throughout my life since then. Where do I begin??? Let me try to pick up from there...

I finally graduated after all the trouble that was given from one of my professors. After getting my diploma and stuff, I took the summer off and just chilled and did nothing all day. In August of 2008, I got a job working at Anderson University. It was an ok job. I just did some data entry stuff for there new system they were getting ready to use. They were trying to keep around to see if something in the IT Dept opened up, but nothing ever did. In December of 2008, I found out from one of the teachers that her sisters works for a company that is looking for a tech support person. I immediately called the lady the next morning and to make the story short I am working the job that I want and loving every minute of it. I work for a company called Apologia. It is a science homeschool book publishing company. I love my co-workers except one, whom is kind of CRAZY and dumb. I would tell you all the stories about her but maybe that will be a whole separate entry.

To be continued...i got caught up in work...

You have been neglected!

I am sorry I haven't updated you since..i dont know when..my plan is to update you once a week. I will be updating you tomorrow during work. Once again I am sorry and I forgot how much you help me vent.

you're writer,

I survived the fire and the floods!
Life has been...CRAZY!

About a week ago, there was a huge warehouse fire in Anderson. I happened to be home that night. I got a call from my best friend Michael. He called to tell me there is a huge fire and that I needed to come check it out. So...I got dressed, ran downstairs to get my mom (because we chase sirens), grabbed the scanner, and hoped in the car. As we were getting in the car, you could see the dark smoke. But as we pulled out of the driveway you could see the flames. We get to the parking lot across the way, where we met Michael, Sarah, and Ryan. Unfortunately, Sarah and Ryan were evacuated from their home because of the smoke and fire.  It was crazy, but I'm glad no one got hurt. This fire was a close second to being as crazy as the magnesium fire that Anderson had a few years ago, obviously not as bright. It was very big and it burned for a while because the warehouse was full of metal and plastics. It turns out this fire was started by a 13 year old, who was steeling copper from the warehouse.

My other crazy event was....FLOODING!
I have never seen anything like it. I can't imagine what a hurricane is like because I felt like this was bad for most of Franklin. Krista, Mike, and I wake up around 11 and decided we want taco bell. Well, the street we live on happens to be flooded a little ways down; but this isn't unusual. I mean it was flooded more than usual but it never crossed my mind that it would get as bad as it did. So, we kept looking for a way to get to Taco Bell. We look and look and look. But as we were looking we went by an apartment complex where cars were turned over and water was covering the building. We realize we're basically trapped and we can only get to the Burger King by the interstate. We come back and realize things had gotten much worse. I think he really hit me hard when I saw two men carrying two young children on their shoulders through water up to their neck and then a another man carrying an infant above his head in the same water. That was pretty scary. I have lots of pictures. Here are a few:

The fence line of a baseball field. The Franklin College enterance sign.
The street I live on.

You can see more of my pictures by looking at some albums I've put on Photobucket. Here are the links:

In other news, I've finally got some help lined up for my project. I would get help from my professor but he left for Florida for two weeks without telling anyone. I'm just so ready to be done with this. And I've got to have this done within the next two weeks because my lease is up on the 25th. So, we'll see but I'm hoping that help I have lined will really be some good help.

until next time...

Update on Life
Well, I haven't done this in a while! But, I thought I'd let everyone in on where I'm at right now in my life.

Well before Spring Break, I had a job interview with Robert Half Technology. They offered me a job and I took but now I'm starting to think I'm going to have to back out because it is not for me. The job is tech support over the phone. I just dont think I'm cut out to help people with computer problems over the phone. I don't have enough patience for that. And, I can't afford to work somewhere that is only going to pay me 10 dollars an hour. I can't live on that. So, I've been applying lots of other places and just recently I applied for the Systems Analyst job at the IU Foundation in Bloomington. I have interview on Tuesday. I am pretty excited. It pays way better than Robert Half. I will start out 40,000!!!! So, there is my job update.

For my senior project, I have been working on the Men's Recruitment Registration website here at FC. I was really pumped up about this idea because I had so many great ideas. But i'm having so much trouble coding those ideas because I don't have enough experience. So every little thing I want to do I'm not sure how. And I can't find the right website to help me with ASP! My professor intimidates me so much that I'm nervous to ask him for help. If I dont get this project done, I don't graduate! I have til the 9th to finish this project and I'm scared to death! Everyone else has to take a test  and that's it. I'm not good at test but there times when I wish I were them. I need some kind of miracle to happen for me because I'm sooo scared.

Speaking of graduating, it is not something I'm excited about happening. It is definitely a bittersweet feeling. I am ready to be done with classes, but I am no where near ready for all of us to part ways. It isn't even that we're going to our hometowns. Nick is going to med school in Iowa, Frank is going seminary school in North Carolina, and Wayne is working with Lugar in Fort Wayne. My dream is that at least once every two months we can get together because these are my closest friends and I can't take losing their friendships! It makes me really sad to think about because these people are my world.

Mike and I are amazing! Taking a break was the best thing we could have ever done. Mike just recently got a new dog! He got a mastif and named her Armani.

My Twlight Zone Weekend!!
